Are you an ambitious and high-potential graduate ready to accelerate your career at the forefront of AI-driven strategic leadership and telecommunications? Tele2 is seeking four exceptional Executive Trainees to join our program, starting June-August 2026.

THIS IS THE PROGRAM
As an Executive Trainee in this Program, you will embark on a transformative 12-month journey at Tele2's headquarters in Stockholm. This program is uniquely designed to develop the next generation of AI-native business leaders, embedding you directly into the strategic core and decision-making processes of our business.

You will be one of four Executive Trainees, each directly reporting to an Executive Vice President (EVP) within B2B, B2C, Finance, or DCT (Digital Capabilities & Technology). This unparalleled exposure to senior leadership ensures your work directly impacts strategic business goals, benefiting from fast decision-making and high visibility. You will also maintain a close cooperation with the Director of Data & AI, guaranteeing strong technical mentorship and alignment with Tele2's overarching Data & AI strategy.

Your role will center on high-impact projects, providing you with deep business understanding and mentorship from top leadership. You will leverage your strong AI-powered strategic and analytical capabilities to drive critical business initiatives, shape future strategies, and inform high-level decisions across the organization. This program offers permanent employment with a six-month probation period. Following the program, our aim is to transition you into a new, impactful leadership or specialist role where you can continue to drive AI-powered innovation and strategic growth within Tele2.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • As an Executive Trainee, you will serve as a partner to your executive and their leadership team, driving and taking ownership of a broad spectrum of critical tasks and projects. This will range from complex strategic initiatives and future-scoping analyses to direct support on operational transformations and high-priority daily assignments, all designed to shape Tele2's strategic direction and accelerate your development as an AI-native business leader.
  • Collaborate closely with various business teams and experts across Tele2 to drive innovation and translate strategic visions into actionable deliverables.
  • Present your strategic insights and project outcomes directly to executive leadership, championing new ideas and influencing Tele2's long-term strategic direction.
  • Make impact by leveraging latest AI practices, including Generative AI (prompt engineering, RAG, agentic workflows), predictive modeling, and intelligent automation that create tangible value for customers and operations.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Educational Foundation:
We are seeking candidates with a robust foundation in quantitative and business-oriented disciplines, complemented by a keen interest in AI and its practical business applications.

To be successful in this role we believe you have a Master's degree within the following educational field (or similar):

  • Industrial Engineering & Management or Business & Economics with a strong technical emphasis focused on AI and strategic business innovation.
  • Engineering Physics or Data/Computer Science with an AI focus and a demonstrated strong business acumen and a clear ambition to lead strategic initiatives.
  • A strong academic record demonstrating critical thinking, analytical rigor, and strategic foresight.

Technical Acumen:

We are looking for candidates with demonstrated interest and/or experience in Generative AI (GenAI). This includes familiarity with conversational AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) as well as a strong inclination towards, or experience with, more advanced applications such as:

  • Prompt Engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic workflows (e.g., utilizing frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph).
  • Agentic/Vibe coding (e.g., with tools like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot).
  • Image/Video/Audio generation (e.g., leveraging platforms like Nano Banana, Sora, Eleven Labs).
  • Interest in production-grade data systems and building production-grade AI/ML solutions to drive transformational business impact.
  • Basic knowledge in Python & SQL.

Experience & Drive:

  • A recent graduate (0-2 years of professional experience) with high potential and a fast-learning aptitude. Preferably with consulting experience from a top-tier firm showcasing exposure to diverse business challenges and structured problem-solving, or leadership/project management roles with a strong analytical component.

Key Traits & Soft Skills:

  • A collaborative mindset, passionate about applying AI to real challenges in the telecom sector.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, comfortable presenting complex technical concepts to senior executive leadership.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
