We are looking for a Paid Marketing Director to join our Marketing team. In this role you’ll be responsible for investing Mentimeter’s surplus with the goal to drive user acquisition across all paid channels and develop Mentimeter to a world-leading position with focus on the US market.

You will be part of the Marketing team and report to the VP of Marketing. This is a new role within Mentimeter and you will have the chance to shape it in the way that provides the highest business value for Mentimeter. Role responsibilities:

  • Translate Mentimeter strategy into paid marketing & media plans, you will be responsible for driving short term goals as well as building towards longer term KPIs
  • Responsible for requesting the budget and resources needed to make an impact and generate business value through paid marketing
  • Leadership responsibilities for the people in your team (you are responsible for requesting the team you need)
  • Ownership of the analysis and frameworks to prove how paid marketing investments generates business value
    • Responsible for establishing a paid marketing assessment & attribution model
    • Provide data insights and analysis/reports on the business value generated
  • Responsible for leading the entire paid marketing process including planning, purchasing, implementation and optimization of paid marketing
  • Partnering with media agencies should you see that as a resource that you need
  • Partnering with other marketing teams, such as Brand & PR and product marketing to enable effective integration of overall media tactics

Skills & Requirements

Role requirements:

  • Strong academic background
  • 7-10+ years of relevant experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience of managing larger paid marketing budgets (preferably from 50 msek - 200+ msek)
  • Proven success in delivering measurable business value from your marketing investments (your primary KPI will most likely be acquisition of new users and your secondary KPI will most likely be awareness)
  • Experience and success in investing in paid marketing towards the US market specifically (as US will be your primary target market)
  • Hands on experience in successfully setting up effective digital media campaigns (native, programmatic etc) as well as experience from investing in traditional media (tv, ooh etc)
  • Knowledgeable in the martech and tools enabling the set up and measurement of paid marketing investments
  • Analytical and data/insights driven

Not required:

  • You don’t have to know Swedish (we are an English-first organisation, daily work is carried out in English and the Mentimeter team currently boasts over 20 different nationalities!)
