
Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Project Manager to join our team in Västerås.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
We are now looking forward to strengthening our team with a Project manager to take responsibility for the planning and execution of our projects. The Project manager role is very cross functional and aligns especially delivery, cost, quality, capacity and performance to meet the novel development project needs.
This position will be based in Västeras, Sweden at our Labs facility and travel on a regular basis to our customers and vendors worldwide.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Identify, develop mitigation plans and manage risks within the project.
• Identify, plan, request, coordinate and follow up resources to execute tasks within the
project.
Identify, document and get approval from relevant stakeholders on scope of work,
including scope defining documents (i.e. URS, TUM, drawings, specifications etc.).
• Develop, update and report financial budget, cashflow and actual for CAPEX. Coordinate
with line managers any expenses needed to execute the project and ensure takeover.
• Together with project resources develop, get commitment and maintain a project plan
describing how the project objectives will be achieved.
• Identify stakeholders and manage their expectations of how the project is carried out as
well as on the project deliverables. This include ESH, legal, quality, LCC and commercial
aspects.
• Manage Changes within project
• To Program manager report progress according to plan and any deviations and actions to
be taken to ensure milestones and project objectives will be achieved.
Education/Experience
· Knowledge of Construction, Supply Base Management, Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing.
· Ability to prioritize and manage across multiple, often time-sensitive requests.
· Exceptional stakeholder management, collaboration and communication skills
· Successful history of working with both technical teams as well as management and purchasing
· Thorough understanding of equipment design, documentation (RFQ, RFI, process specifications), testing (FAT/SAT) and commissioning
· Experience working with vendors from around the world to source new technologies and improve those already in production
· Hands on experience with prototyping equipment to quickly iterate and validate design choices
· Knowledge of battery industry is an advantage
· Startup and growth company experience is an advantage
