Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Logistics Co-ordinator to join our bold, excellent and passionate team in Stockholm. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start, building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play a significant role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

As Logistics Co-ordinator you would focus on supporting the process of designing, procuring and implementing the set-up of inbound and outbound logistics to both our demonstration plant "Northvolt Labs" in Västerås, as well as the giga-factory "Northvolt Ett" in Skellefteå. As a key player in the Logistics Team you will have the opportunity to build and procure sustainable logistical solutions from scratch, both for Northvolt’s operations in Sweden as well as beyond. You will be based in Stockholm at Northvolt’s head office and report to Bartek Borczyński, Director of Logistics.

In broad terms, team Logistics is responsible for everything that moves outside Northvolt factories' gates. Our mission is to support Northvolt’s growth and expansion with logistical expertise and to create a robust logistical framework, within which Northvolt units can operate.

You:
Generally speaking, you are in an early stage of your career. You have recently graduated within the field of logistics, alternatively for 1-3 years you have worked operationally with shipping, transport or warehousing. You are familiar with the administrative side of logistical process, documentation required to despatch, clear customs, receive and store cargo.

You also appreciate the importance of adequate packaging to ensure safety and sound condition of the product in transit, as well as at the warehouse. Ideally you had the opportunity to work with and have good understanding on how to use different systems and modules (ERP/WMS/TMS) to support logistical planning and execution.

Experience in shipping and handling of DG (dangerous goods) and familiarity with applicable laws and regulations within transportation and warehousing will be considered a plus.

When joining Northvolt, you would be partly focused on supporting the team in the arena of execution. Together with Sourcing and Raw Materials Team, Logistics Developers and other colleagues in need of logistical support you would plan, organise and oversee shipping activities. Beyond the operational aspect, you would be engaged and support team member is various development projects.

Your assignments will go beyond the inbound operation as you will be supporting the colleagues across all locations in planning, design and procurement of logistical solutions.

In your job you will:

  • be the main contact in all logistical matters for the Sourcing and Strategic Raw Materials Teams as well as internal logistics colleagues and Northvolt’s suppliers
  • together with LSPs and Northvolt units draft and develop Standard Operational Procedures as well as other standards, requirement sheets and processes ensuring logistically optimal and safe operation
  • collect, manage, organise and analyse logistical data, seeking improvement possibilities
  • continuously improve overall logistics operations of Northvolt together with your team

Skills & Requirements

You are or you have/are:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in logistics or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a supply chain/logistics specialist/co-ordinator/developer
  • Excellent English skills, written and oral
  • Entrepreneurial mind set
  • Problem-solving attitude with strong organisation skills (we mean it!)
  • Agile in your way of working
  • A solid relationship builder
  • Self-motivated and autonomous who enjoy working both in a team and on your own
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (you love MS Excel)
  • Experience in work with an ERP / TMS / WMS systems (Preferably MS Dynamics / 365 ERP environment)
  • Have worked in multi-cultural environment (a must!),
  • Ability to speak Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, German or Swedish is a plus
  • Experience in working with Dangerous Goods is a plus
