Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Technical Project Manager to join our passionate team in Stockholm.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European Battery Factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

Technical Project Manager (TPM) is a senior role and carries a great responsibility managing the overall technical scope of a project:

  • Keeping an eye to ensure that requirements and the technical solutions are well specified and feasible for the project to deliver

  • Understanding the importance of establishing a project scope on products and components as far as possible and you align requirements from customers and other stakeholders with the product roadmap.

The TPM will interface with cross function teams - design, manufacturing, compliance, system test, reliability, supply chain and operations to define and drive development of new product programs, while also managing changes in existing programs.

The TPM is also responsible for conducting business and technical reviews with leadership and executive teams on a regular basis to communicate and present project status, highlight schedule risk, and develop recovery plans in the event of project slip.

Responsibilities

  • Manage development projects with regards to approved scope, schedule and cost
  • Establish and manage programs feature baseline, scheduling, critical path, and technology risks areas for execution.
  • Cross-functionally communicate key development updates, risks and timeline on projects.
  • Identify tactical and creative ways to overcome obstacles while meeting deadlines despite setbacks.
  • Maximize productivity in a constantly changing environment of shifting priorities
  • Resolve conflict productively across teams
  • Create, maintain, and communicate schedules and plans
  • Drive collaboration with the different engineering group ensuring the teams are aligned with company priorities.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels to all stakeholders – design, supply chain, programs, aftermarket and manufacturing teams
  • Track resourcing of projects and drive resource balancing between different program priorities

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • A university degree, preferably in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience post graduate

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience

  • Working experience either in Technical Project Management or Engineering

  • Has experience in working in a multicultural environment

  • Has worked on several projects and/ or bids, ideally in similar business area
