About the Department: Delivery Services

Meltwater’s Delivery Services team is responsible for curating bespoke reports and managing key projects of our biggest clients. We deliver business-essential intelligence reports based on our keen analyses of various media outlets across traditional and social media channels.

Our core competency of high adaptability to client’s requirements comes from the unique team of individuals composed of diverse insights & analytical skillsets. We always strive to break new grounds, constantly focusing on solution-oriented approaches and at the same time developing every individual to his or her full capacity.

Role: Media Analyst (Tamil Proficiency)

What You'll Do:

  • Be part of a founding media insights team based in our office in Kuala Lumpur
  • Analyse quantitative and qualitative media data and derive meaningful insights into the clients’ media & campaign performance, consumers, markets, competitors and perception of their brands. The purpose is to refine our clients’ strategic communication goals
  • Utilise our Meltwater proprietary software, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint extensively, to cover the end-to-end process of extracting raw data, uncovering insights, and delivering reports in a practical format for the clients
  • Manage your portfolio of dailies/monthly/quarterly projects and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the delivery process
  • Play an integral role of working cohesively with your team to ensure all deliverables and tasks are completed in high quality and well within deadlines
  • Strategize approaches to improve reports quality and objectives, with the clients’ feedback in mind
  • Work closely and interdependently with internal teams, Enterprise Clients and Account Managers, with a shared purpose of value-adding to the clients

Who You Are:

  • Strong proficiency in Tamil and Malay language (for translations into English), and strong proficiency in English
  • Able to work flexible hours and/or rotational shift
  • Bachelor's Degree (in any discipline) with strong academic results
  • Entry level or have up to 1 - 2 years of relevant working experience (client facing roles is a plus)
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, collaborative tools (ie. Google Sheets/Google Docs) and any experience with formulas are also a plus
  • Excellent in both qualitative and quantitative report writing skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skill
  • Must be a team player
  • Have a keen interest/keep up with current affairs, mainstream media, and social media
  • Enjoy working in client servicing roles with a strong customer focus
  • A Critical thinker – have the skills to derive meaningful conclusions by looking at numbers, trends, reading data and results
  • Detail-oriented - ensure data integrity, precision, and exercise vigilance in the analyses to arrive at correct conclusions
