We are looking for a dedicated/experienced/driven Data Governance Specialist to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent/bold/passionate Master Data Management team based in Stockholm.  By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing/ramping up data competencies and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.  

About the job
The Data Governance Specialist will positively impact Northvolt supporting the development and implementation of the enterprise’s data governance strategy. The role will drive and operationalise core data governance competencies, including the definition of processes, procedures, and standards necessary to ensure high value data is supported and delivered to the organization. As one of the first members of the Master Data Management team you will be able to influence and shape Northvolt’s Data Strategy defining process and rules to ensure the timely availability, accuracy and integrity of multidomain data.

About the team

The Master Data Management team is small (for now!), and we are constantly looking for data-driven super starts with experience in Master Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Quality and, of course, Data Governance. The team is based in Stockholm and short trips to our factories are required once in a while. The long-term goal for the team is to develop and support a data management framework in the Enterprise Information level.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement practical Data Governance strategies, plans, and solutions to identified domains
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement data management standards, policies, and best practices
  • Develop data quality KPIs and reports to monitor adoption of and adherence to data management standards
  • Measures and monitors data quality, designs, and executes remediation plans, maintains, and supports applicable data management rules
  • Responsible for process design, configuration, assistance with testing, requirements gathering and ultimately setup a fully functional development, test, and production environment

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

  • Academic degree in IT, Master of Science in Engineering, Master of Business Administration or equivalent
  • 5+ years working experience in Data Management
  • Excellent English written and oral skills 
  • Strong understanding of SQL with a focus on descriptive and diagnostic analysis
  • Experience of driving digitization and business development as a data management strategist, MDM specialist, information manager or similar
  • Experience with process design, implementation, and improvement
