Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a engineer to join our stellar/bold/passionate team in Sweden.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

The candidates will be in charge of cell technology development. As team member of the unit you will have the opportunity to build a competent and dependable team from scracth, capable to scale Northvolt’s operations in Sweden and beyond. You will be in charge of setting up and executing the cell technology development.

The unit will primarily support the whole company business.

You will be working intimately with the cell technology team. Our aim is to introduce a cell technology on the market.

In general you have a long experience in the field and have been driving large, innovative and challenging a cell technology projects with high demands on cell and battery pack.

Specifically, you have a deep understanding of working with cell technology as well as process technology.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Cell design improvement
  • Cell test
  • Process concept design

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • A degree in Bachelor/MSc or University Degree
  • Curious, technically educated and with a strong business background

  • Must have worked in multi-cultural environment

  • Experience and interest in manufacturing industry is a plus

  • Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
  • Highly organized and result-driven
