Schibsted User Foundations is hiring a Senior Product Manager/Product Manager to our Privacy Services team.
Over the last 5 years, the Privacy Services team in Schibsted has developed and operated a portfolio of platforms, products and services, both developed entirely within Schibsted and based on third party SaaS Consent Management Platform tech. We are now poised for a renewed period of investment into this team, as it grows to handle the increasing demands of users, our brands and the law in the growing number of countries we operate within.
As a member of team comprised of yourself, another product manager and a Lead Product Manager to whom you will report, you will work together in a functional triangle with engineering and design teams ring-fenced for this team’s work. Together, this combined team will create an experience of privacy within Schibsted’s products that is centred on the user’s needs. At the same time, these products also need to deliver critical legal and commercial results for our business. This team’s products will be adopted by market-leading business to consumer brands within Schibsted across Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
To do this, you’ll need to be able to inspire your team with passion and energy for both our users and our brands. It’s important to state up-front that specific prior expertise in privacy, though an advantage, is not a hard requirement for the role. We are more interested in your product management abilities than your GDPR expertise. You’ll need to be able to understand challenging legal and business needs, while remaining focused at all times on the needs of the user. You will be able to demonstrate experience in creating positive collaboration with UX and tech both within your own team and with those of other teams in a multi-national organisation, all with the aim of creating great product experiences. You’ll also need to be able to influence at senior levels, communicating with the highest clarity about strategy, mission, objectives, priorities and the results your team will achieve. And you’ll need to find ways to make potentially complex concepts as simple as possible for our users and for our brands to understand and to engage with.

User Foundations is in expansion mode, growing to meet the demands of our users, brands and regulators for easier log-in, higher security, faster payments, greater transparency and simpler controls over what happens with their data.
