We are looking to strengthen our team with a People Business Partner with responsibility to support our tech community in News Media Product & Tech. This is a busy year - as usual- for the HR function as we look to launch many new People Initiatives into our business and automate and professionalize several of our people processes.
You’ll be part of a dedicated international team with 11 colleagues that are all highly motivated in their profession. The position will enable you to get a broad insight of the organization and you’ll have possibilities to impact the role and take initiative to further improve our People function. Enforcing the creative and collaborative environment across a multiple culture organization.

What are you supposed to do?
The focus will be on building strong relationships with the business and advise, guide and assist line management on employee relations issues and ensure guidance accordingly in our best practice. You will support leaders in our News Media Product & Tech organisation in both Oslo, Stockholm and Krakow. You’ll also support managers and your HR colleagues in the wider Product and Tech organisation with Norwegian employees within following topics:
Coaching and performance management
Employee satisfaction and retention
Legal enquiries and conflict resolution
Onboarding new employees and managers
Compensations and benefits
General HR administration
Furthermore you’ll have to be quite skilled with HR systems, understanding the value of information and have the ability to extract the right information. The position is located centrally in the organizations and you’ll have a lot of contact with wider HR teams and occasionally take part in a broad range of HR projects across Schibsted.
To succeed in this position, you have:
Experience in and interest for operational everyday HR, and an understanding of the fact that the success lies within getting the basics right
Experience in influencing & advising managers
Good knowledge of Norwegian employment law and translating this to HR Policies
Experience from working within a matrix organization, and can demonstrate an understanding of what this entails
Experience with working in Tech environments is preferable, but not a must. You will be a part of an exciting People community. Higher relevant degree is a requirement and minimum 3 years experience in a role as HRBP or similar is preferred.

This role will be based in Oslo and reports to People Director Global Tech, who is located in Stockholm. You’ll partner up with local and senior HRBP in Norway, Sweden and Poland.
