We are looking for an outstanding and experienced Director of Business Systems to join our IT leadership team in Stockholm. As the Director of Business Systems you are expected to develop a strategic roadmap for business applications and business intelligence. You will be partnering with cross-functional teams both on IT and business functions to drive process automation, efficiency, scalability and consistency to support business growth. 

In addition, you will also drive project prioritization, project delivery with strong focus on business value and in the process foster great partnerships. By partnering with key stakeholders across functional organizations, applying leading practices, help our business to adopt new technologies and drive to be the best in class. You should possess a track record of leading a business transformation team, deliver results while dealing with ambiguity and be able to anticipate and manage risk and change in a highly dynamic and fast moving company environment.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work side-by-side with our Global Process Owners, Enterprise Architects and other business partners to develop a future-state roadmap for business systems and business process automation
  • Understand current state business system and business processes, identify gaps, propose improvements and evaluate solution alternatives
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business leadership
  • Continuously evaluate and refine tools and processes to ensure they are efficient, high quality, and scalable
  • Acts as a liaison between IT and business functions to ensuring there is alignment and all parties are contributing to leveraging technology to scale the business
  • Use data and metrics to back up assumptions, make recommendations, drive actions, and measure success
  • Challenge the status quo and foster shared understanding, transparency, mastery, autonomy, innovation and continuous learning
  • Create a team culture with a focus on continuous improvement, high automation and ease of ability to scale
  • Provide leadership and guidance regarding our company vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Manage project prioritization processes
  • Lead change management (e.g. stakeholder assessment, communications, adoption)
  • Lead risk and Issue management
  • Manage budget, schedule and scope management for programs
  • Manage KPI development and tracking

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Substantial experience with enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, HR, BI, CRM, TMS, WMS, Supplier/Customer Portal)
  • 10+ years of progressive management and leadership responsibility, including in-depth experience with program management in an IT Organization
  • Strong technical acumen and a deep understanding of business processes
  • Experience with SaaS platforms
  • Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record to successfully manage, grow and evolve systems transformation teams
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and deliver projects with agreed schedules and budgets
  • Expert knowledge of agile system delivery processes and project management best practices
  • A proven understanding of project budget and cost tracking, including annual budgets, capital requisition processes, purchasing, invoice processing and budget reconciliation
