In Toca Life World, kids have a live platform for true open-ended play. It’s an ever-expanding app where they can tell any story they like. As the UI Designer in the Toca Life Features team you will make sure that the UI is consistent across the app as a whole. You’ll work closely together with the other artists and designers on the various Toca Life teams.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll create and improve UI for various Toca Life World features and help mold the UX and gameplay, creating an intuitive experience for the users. You’ll also support other teams, ensuring consistency across the app.
As a UI Designer you’re not only interested in the look of the buttons, you also care about the complete user experience, which can include animations, sound, micro-interactions, accessibility and user research.
You’ll create wireframes, mocks & prototypes as you explore and iterate towards a working solution.
Is this you?
You are an experienced UI Designer who has worked in the gaming industry and/or with mobile apps. You can define & maintain a consistent UI style for the entire game which follows standard design principles, is accessible for all users and is aligned with the art direction.
You are used to work in cross-functional teams, participating in workshops and share feedback in a constructive and friendly way.
You're able to create interactive prototypes that range from simple to complex. These should be able to answer any design questions and help with internal alignment. You can create engaging & functional animations that enhance & clarify the user experience.
You document your work well, showing your process, design thinking and creating an easy reference for others.
You’re interested in User research, testing and accessibility. And, you believe in the power of play!
