Lantmännen has a long tradition of research and innovation and we invest in both our own and external research projects promoting new knowledge. Every year, we invest 250-300 million SEK in various research and innovation projects, from shorter product and process development to long-term projects of benefit to the entire Lantmännen Group.

For Lantmännen Group R&D we are now looking for a Nutrition Manager to join us on temporary basis. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for nutrition and food, to contribute in a global, sustainable business where every day brings new challenges and where we are heading for the future.

This is what you will do

As Nutrition Manager you will have a central role within R&D where you will support and contribute with your knowledge in various research- and business development projects throughout the entire group. You will drive the agenda concerning the research portfolio for health and nutrition and actively work with and share knowledge and awareness of health benefits connected to grain and grain-based food. This includes contributing and integrating your knowledge to current research projects in order to develop actual business opportunities and new, innovative products or businesses.

You will also work with communication around nutrition and health on external media like lantmannen.com and be part of the editorial board for Cerealier, a research magazine published by our research foundation. You will work with the development of our group-wide health and nutrition directive and the connected guidelines.

The position requires you to work close to key stakeholders within the entire group as well as external, where you will be part of relevant networks and follow up on recent trends and research. You will be part of the team within R&D Food and Energy and report to the R&D Manager Food and Energy. The position is located at our headquarter in Stockholm and under normal circumstances some travelling does occur.

The position is temporary and initially limited to 1,5 years.

Skills & Requirements

This is what you need to succeed

You have:

  • An academic degree in a relevant field such as engineering, agriculture, preferably with a specialisation in food science and/or nutrition.
  • Previous experience from a similar role where you have been working with research within food and nutrition. Knowledge and specialisation in grains is valued highly.
  • Experience in project management in a cross-functional, international environment.
  • Experience in product and/or business development and commercialisation of research projects is considered a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, written and spoken, in both Swedish and English.

  • Curious with a creative mindset. You enjoy taking initiatives and exploring new solutions and approaches, which you also know how to realize when needed.
  • Taking responsibility to contribute to the business as a whole, working with the greater picture in mind and all the way, from field to fork.
