The team is responsible for the quality performance of our direct material suppliers and sub-contractors, working with product development projects and quality assurance during high-volume production. The position includes a significant amount of international travel.

Each member has responsibility for their own suppliers, but we collaborate and support each other in technical challenges and in the development of best practices for supplier quality management and performance development. Learning how to apply strict automotive quality requirements in a flexible way to fit various suppliers takes some time and patience, but our experienced team is always ready to support and find good solutions for tough problems.

You will have the responsibility to manage and improve the quality performance of our suppliers, with a primary focus on ASICs. You will perform audits on the supplier's site according to the VDA6.3 standard, approve new materials through the PPAP process, manage supplier changes and manage supplier non-conformities.

Requirements:

  • Suitable technical education (e.g. B.Sc., M.Sc.), semiconductor or electronics technology preferred
  • Five years of relevant work experience, minimum of two years in quality
  • Fluent English Language, written and spoken
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and cooperation skills

Highly desired skills and experience:

  • Experience from Semiconductor or Electronics Industries
  • Knowledge of Semiconductor Manufacturing Processes
  • ISO 9001 knowledge
  • Quality auditor experience
  • Working knowledge of Finnish

In addition, we value:

  • Automotive experience, especially with IATF 16949 and VDA6.3 standards
  • Proficiency in using Core tools: APQP, FMEA, CP, MSA, SPC
  • Quality methods: Change control, 8D, FTA, RCA
  • Additional language skills, e.g. Japanese, Chinese, German

As a person, you take initiative to improve performance and are able to cooperate in a multi-functional team towards a common goal. You understand standard requirements and can work systematically according to defined processes. You can work independently when needed, but have very good teamwork skills. You are ready to take on new challenges and continuously develop your professional skills.

At Murata, we cultivate a strong culture of cross-functional teamwork, so you will have the chance to collaborate with and learn from members of other teams in our organization. We will provide you with a comprehensive orientation about our products, processes, systems and quality requirements to get you to a successful start in your new role! This is a permanent position and start date is negotiable.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology contributing to the advancement of society. We believe that the tiniest things can have the greatest impact. With our innovative sensor technology, cars remain in their lanes, people’s hearts keep beating and bridges do not collapse. The combination of our Finnish and Japanese capabilities will enable safe and autonomous driving – in all places. Our production and product development are located in the same office in Vantaa, which enables smooth cooperation between professionals in various fields.
