Northvolt is looking for a “Physical Security Site Manager” with the right attitude and personal characteristics to our research & development facility in Västerås, Northvolt Labs.

As our “Physical Security Site Manager” you will be overall accountable that the site complies with Northvolt´s physical security requirements and act as a SPOC for all security related topics at the site. You will report both to the CSO at Northvolt and to the "Health and Safety"- Manager at Northvolt Labs.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure implementation of Northvolt´s corporate procedures and requirements regarding physical security is done at site and that these are regularly reviewed and inspected and if needed initiate proactive and reactive actions.
  • Define, continuously develop, and implement local physical security procedures and requirements if needed at the site.
  • Ensure that the site is ready and will pass audit and/or certifications from a physical security perspective.
  • Ensure security trainings are held and, if needed, site specific security trainings are developed and continuously improved.
  • Ensure that physical security risk- and threat/vulnerability analysis are done regularly and that they´re reported, investigated, have proposed actions as well as are execute on.
  • Ensure that the site has the right level-, type-, equipment-, clear requirements/descriptions, and numbers of security guards needed to protect the site.
  • Ensure to keep up with, analyse and make the right conclusions from both the local and global surroundings as well as new techniques and trends.

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • A relevant MSc/BSc/University degree
  • 10+years of work experience in and proof of the Physical security area.
  • Experience of practical work and proof of achievements regarding defining, implementing and continuously improve Physical security at a site/company.
  • Experience from leading virtual teams and proof of ability to inspire teams.
  • Experience from and proof of turning strategies into tactical plans.
  • Relevant security certifications are a plus.
  • Deep insights in both local and global surroundings as well as new techniques and trends is a plus.

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and verbal English, Swedish is a plus.
  • Appreciate and sees a strength in collaborating with colleagues from different areas of expertise and experience.
  • Proudly share knowledges and happily guide and support colleagues.
  • Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, with excellent time management.
