Do you want to support some of Sweden’s largest companies with their most pressing needs in the Americas? Business Sweden’s ‘Americas Large Corp’ (ALC) team is now hiring.
The ALC team works with business development and engagement lead of prioritized large company accounts, supporting their growth in the Americas region. Focus is on building confidence with senior executives, developing insights on their most pressing needs, identifying, developing and leading engagements of strategic value, and to work closely with the whole Americas organization.
We are now looking for an additional strategy consultant to be part of the ALC team. The team is based in New York, focused on growth in the whole region.
What do we expect from you?
You will be part of a business development team, take part in senior client dialogues, and insight driven initiatives of new business opportunities, as well as prospecting and developing customer value propositions. You will contribute to ensuring that we are seen as a trusted advisor, with a clear point of view relating to our clients’ most pressing challenges in the Americas.
You will lead, deliver and coordinate projects that provide support to some of the largest Swedish companies in their international business development and expansion in the Americas. The projects generally focus on market expansion, M&A and public affairs.
You will report to the Director of Business Development, Region Americas.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a person who has exceptional drive and a highly strategic mindset, with extensive experience in market analysis and strategic insights. We see that you are experienced in consultative projects with large companies, in projects such as market expansion, M&A and/or public affairs.
We furthermore expect you to act as a role model to our core values - Maximizing Impact in a Collaborative and Responsible way – and that you have an outstanding ability to build personal relations, empathy and trust.
Your experience requirements:
You have a higher academic degree, probably in Business or/and Engineering
You have 3-7 years relevant work experience, probably as a management consultant or similar role*
You have a can-do attitude combined with curiosity for Swedish business
Experience in conducting insight-based business development
Self-motivator and accountable team player and leader
You have strong social skills and excellent communication skills
High level of proficiency in both written and spoken Swedish and English is a requirement
Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is of advantage
Previous experience from advisory assignments with large corporations is meriting
Previous experience from in-depth market analysis, market expansion, M&A and public affairs is meriting
Experience from the Americas is meriting
*Depending on your experience and qualifications, we will discuss a position as a Consultant or a Project Manager
