HOW IT WORKS
Get Matched: Apply and get matched with a VFA startup partner in your area of interest
Get Immersed: Spend 3 months in this role, during which you will be immersed in the local context, be connected to expert mentors, and get to understand market nuances
Get Working: Work on real project deliverables for your assigned startups while being paid a stipend
Get Hired: While full-time roles are not guaranteed, you are fast-tracked through ordinary application processes for available full-time roles with the startup post the fellowship
Startup Partner: Shuttlers
Shuttlers is a ride-sharing service targeted at commuters who desire an alternative to the public transport system. The company provides comfortable and efficient transportation using an internet-based platform to match commuters with buses in their area.
Shuttlers is looking for an individual with a background and skills in product management who is passionate about building products.
You will be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Life Cycle, including gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and customer experience & support teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Key Project Deliverables
Define and develop a product strategy & roadmap
Deliver product strategy documents that detail user stories, product/technical requirements with prioritized features, and corresponding justification for prototype design and final product development by engineering teams
Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products
Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
Reports to: CTO
5+ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager
An expert with respect to the competition and adjacent industries
Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Some technical background, with experience in software development or design
Excellent teamwork skills
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Ability to execute independently and autonomously
