Supplier Quality Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated Supplier Quality Specialist with solid experience in the quality field to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our growing Supply Chain team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in securing quality from material suppliers and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job
You will be in charge of the supplier quality related activities in the Ett factory and need to have experience in quality management, especially in non-conformity management and root cause analysis. You will play an important role to lead and co-ordinate quality activities with the suppliers and have a deep understanding of working and cooperating cross-functionally in a multicultural environment with Northvolt supply chain, process engineering, R&D as well as production.

About the team
You will be part of the cross functional Supply Chain team in Skellefteå that will handle execution across the supply chain discipline for Northvolt ETT. The team is constantly growing with the common target to develop and foster a world class supply chain for green batteries. We all share a strong commitment to a green and electrified future.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate the daily supplier quality activities at Northvolt production site to maintain and develop a world class supplier base.
  • Support to Set up quality monitoring procedures, evaluate supplier quality performance and establish improvement plans when needed.
  • Manage the non-conformance process, develop, and validate corrective actions with suppliers.
  • Communicate with supplier regularly to address any concerns and foster an environment that facilitates continual improvement in working relationships.

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • BSc or MSc degree in Materials/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Chemical Engineering or similar
  • Experience of supplier quality management in relevant industry
  • Familiar with Control Plans, FMEA, SPC and Quality troubleshooting
  • Project management skills and a successful track record of leading quality improvements in manufacturing and with suppliers is a plus

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
  • Willingness to travel to supplier locations from time to time
  • Highly organized and results driven
  • An eye for detail
  • Proactive and goes beyond expectations
  • Has a "can do" attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management in an international environment
