About This Role

As the Pre-sales Consultant, you will be a crucial member supporting our Enterprise Sales Team - the division that drives our highest value growth opportunities throughout the region. Majority of our clients at Meltwater are on the SaaS subscription model, however for our top percentile of clients who have a greater need for customisation, Meltwater’s APAC Enterprise Sales is the dedicated team to consult and deliver curated solutions for their unique business needs.

Your primary responsibility as a Pre-sales Consultant is to work with our Enterprise Sales team on the presales and delivery stages of a sales cycle for complex solution offerings. In addition, you will be responsible for developing project cost estimate and scoping proposals.

With the largest global mainstream news and social media source base, we enable any analysis to be built on top of the most complete data set possible. We surface these insights through our web & mobile applications, reports and alerts, and enable our clients to integrate it with their internal systems through Meltwater’s APIs.

What you will be doing

  • Support the Enterprise Sales team in the development of cases in their pipeline and management of sales opportunities from lead generation to closure
  • Work with the Enterprise Sales team on the presales stage for complex deals, such as preparing collaterals & pitch decks, creating mock-ups, doing demos, and sharing relevant case studies
  • Own presales activities till solution delivery stages by understanding, communicating, and interpreting client’s requirements and business processes. Thereafter, you will need to deliver and present Proof of Concepts (POC) when necessary
  • Meet clients and post-meetings, you will need to develop a solution proposal that includes project scope, assumptions, implementation plan, technology solution options, and recommendations in addition to costing / pricing estimates
  • Fully understand the clients’ business agenda and in turn, provide useful and constructive feedback to Engineering / Technical Consultant to fine-tune and customize solutions for clients
  • Work as a solution advisor to provide guidance on governance, strategy, and transformation
  • Render support in tender writing, RFP processes, final offer negotiations
  • Facilitate and coordinate the sharing of use cases from individual sales reps to the whole of Enterprise Sales team

We would love to see

  • Bachelor’s Degree (in any discipline) with strong academic results
  • Entry level / have 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in consulting, business analysis or client-facing industry.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel.
  • Passion for entrepreneurship & technology, SaaS industry & media intelligence, and you should be a regular consumer of the news / media
  • Good to have prior experience with software demonstrations
  • Some exposure to sales processes from prospecting to closing of deals
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Good interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, initiative and organized with the ability to work under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment
  • Team player, mature, and a self-starter
  • Keen eye on how to use data analytics to improve clients’ business impact
  • You enjoy and have experience in data analysis and creating presentation decks
