This is a people leadership role in a service business.
The expectation is that this role drives change, and you will participate in increasing the quality of our delivery.
Most of the work will be around coaching, mentoring, supporting, and steering SW Engineers in a consistent direction.
In general, TMs will focus on the following with and for their teams:
A clear understanding of the concept of Value and putting quality first in achieving it.
Ensure that our engineering roles are set up for growth.
Ensure the appropriate level of training for all engineering roles.
Ensure use of and investment into tooling that makes engineering roles more effective.
Ensure that teams own the technical delivery towards their clients and are invested in continuously understanding what success means for their clients.
Clarity of expectations, what success looks like, and where we’re headed for all engineering roles (this includes ensuring clear role descriptions that align with our internal vision).
Ensure that we are working towards future trends, to explore and learn, test, and prepare ourselves for what is coming next.
Ensure continuous technical improvements, better teamwork, and knowledge sharing.
A TM eventually also works as part of their country’s leadership team, and they use this for guidance on where to focus their efforts, but also as leverage to develop the technical capability of the country unit as effectively as possible.

Skills & Requirements
More than 5 years of experience in IT and web delivery
Understanding of engineering principles and how they contribute to consistently delivering value with high quality.
Experienced in leading, coaching, and growing a team or department
Strong history of completion, track record of successful change management
Loves trying new tools and technologies
Strong presenter, especially using digital tools like Google Slides, etc.
Highly organised. Comfortable keeping track (minuting) of multiple conversations with multiple stakeholders. Deadline driven.
Passionate about seeing/helping others succeed
A deep desire to continuously improve in all aspects but specifically as a leader
Desire to learn the mechanics of a services business (which is different from a product development business)
Good understanding of what Technical Excellence means today and in the future
