We’re currently looking for a new Engineering Manager and leader to join us and help us develop our product organization and make our product even more appealing to our more than 200 million users. This role will be based in our Stockholm office.

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the well-being and personal development of members of our engineering team. You will lead engineers through career coaching, 360 evaluations, hiring & onboarding, education planning, and hands-on mentoring. To do this well, you will be working closely with other leaders in our product organization and you’ll be supported by other line managers in the company - we all gather weekly to ensure Mentimeter is successful and make sure people enjoy their time here.

You will be part of a Product Area and work towards its objectives and mission. (As of 2022 we have 3 areas; Core, Commercial and Shared tech.) With your colleagues in engineering leadership you will work towards building a world class engineering organisation, working on things like Engineering onboarding, Ways of working and processes, Operational efficiency, Area tech and engineering strategy. As part of the extended leadership team in the product department, you will also be involved in Recruitment and Staffing, Craft Tech reputation & Employer Branding and Craft culture work.

Skills & Requirements

Must-haves for the role:

  • Great collaboration skills (you will be working with many different functions and people)

  • Experience from line management

  • A big interest in software development and technical discussions

  • Being comfortable facilitating architectural discussions

  • A big interest in coaching & supporting people in their personal and professional development

  • A desire to work in a fast-moving and friendly environment

  • Experience from agile work environments

It’s also nice if you have:

  • An academic background

  • Experience of tech recruitment & employer branding

  • A love for mentoring engineers or teaching others how to be good mentors

  • Experience from leadership (scrum/kanban) in teams and be a supporting force to developers

  • Experience of building an engineering culture and talent retention

Other

  • Swedish not required - we are an English-first company, daily work is carried out in English and the Mentimeter team currently spans over 40 different nationalities!
