We are looking for a New Business Development Manager to help take our retail division into the next phase of our growth

The UK Fagerhult sales office opened in 1997, with our retail division being created in 2010. From a standing start, we quickly established ourselves as a leading player in the industry, with a strongly diversified customer mix we work with some of the most recognisable brands in high street fashion, foodservice, automotive and banking segments. In addition to the sales function, we have specialist commercial, sales support, design, and logistics teams all specifically tailored to the unique demands of the retail market.

The retail division works alongside our A+D, Workplace and Educational teams to form the UK organisation. As part of the Fagerhult Group, we have access to a range of different brands, the economies of scale and a global network ideal for supporting our retail clients’ international projects.

Skills & Requirements

Experience in sales within the retail sector is expected and a proven track record of delivering results is required.

Beyond that we’re looking for an individual that wants to be part of a global team that puts the customer first. Our Business Development Managers are people-people. They relish any opportunity to build new relationships and work hard to maintain them.

About the company

The Fagerhult story began in 1945 when our founder, an engineer called Bertil Svennsson, built his first lamp so his mother could keep knitting during the long-dark Nordic winter nights. Inspired by how much light could improve peoples lives, Bertil decided to bring the same happiness to the masses. Based in rural southern Sweden, the early workers in the factory were Bertil’s friends and family from the village of Fagerhult. Nearly 80 years later, the head office is in the same location, the spirit of community remains but we are now part of one of Europe’s largest lighting organisations, suppling lighting and connectivity solutions in 40 markets across the globe.
