Data Foundations is a central team within Schibsted that is responsible for the data platform, and building data fueled products with emphasis on volume, velocity and privacy.

Our team within Data Foundations is looking for a full-stack engineer with frontend focus to join us in Stockholm. We are a small, friendly and diverse team responsible for maintaining and developing the contextual advertising product: relevant advertising based on context, without tracking users or using 3rd party cookies. The product is new, in rapid growth and uses a combination of natural language processing algorithms.

As a part of Schibsted, you will also have the opportunity to share knowledge and learn from data scientists and engineers across the organisation. We encourage a diverse, collaborative and creative work environment, where you will develop and push for state-of-the-art solutions in big data processing as well as building reliable and highly scalable services.

What you’ll do

  • Help in maturing the contextual ads product by improving and expanding both the frontend and the backend services used.
  • Work on visualization and automation tools for our product.
  • Work together across various disciplines such as machine learning engineers, data scientists and data engineers, product managers, end users and other stakeholders.
  • Bring in and help shape new ideas, functionalities, and concepts together with the team, product management and stakeholders.

Our tech stack includes AWS, Python and Svelte.

What you know

  • Frontend: web development using a modern JavaScript framework, preferably with UI/UX skills.
  • Backend: Demonstrable skills at our main programming language for the backend, Python.
  • Experience working with different runtime environments: k8s and EC2. Serverless would be nice to have.
  • Knowledge about common AWS services.
  • It’s a plus if you also understand the concepts and have experience with continuous deployment.
