Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a PLM Manufacturing Architect to join our stellar/bold/passionate team in Stockholm.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

The PLM Manufacturing Architect will be in charge of the development and implementation of Manufacturing solutions in the PLM-System, Introducing new features and concepts regarding MBOM, BOP and quality control plans.

You will be working intimately with the PLM, Process Engineering, Digitalization and Manufacturing teams defining and rolling out a functional and modern PLM Manufacturing solution.

In general you have a long experience in the field and have been designing complex, innovative and well-functioning PLM-solutions in the process and/or discrete manufacturing space.

Specifically, you have a deep understanding of working with PLM as well as Manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Introduce new features related to manufacturing in to the PLM-System
  • Have an architectural overview of the current Manufacturing setup of the system including Manufacturing Bill Of Materials, Bill of Process and quality control plans
  • Work with team to implement improvements to the PLM-System
  • Work with Business Unit to collect requirements and enhancement requests on the PLM-System
  • Produces supporting and deliverable documentation as defined by the engagement

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • A degree in Computer Science/Mechanical Engieering/Production engineering/MSc or MBA/Relevant University Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years working experience with PLM Manufacturing solutions, preferably in Teamcenter suite
  • Track record of successul PLM Manufacturing implementations or achievements
  • Curious, technically educated and with a strong business background
  • Must have worked in multi-cultural environment
  • Exposure to manufacturing planning and/or hand-off of PLM data (BOM) to ERP
  • Experience in Manufacturing simulation tools such as Tecnomatix Plant simulation and Process Simulate
  • Experience in process industry manufacturing and discrete manufacturing environment
