About Our Program
Our Management Trainee Program is designed to equip you for a successful career in the SAAS industry by giving you real exposure to clients right at the start of your career and preparing you for leadership responsibility in our Greater China team.
It is a structured program with a clear career path from entry level through to management. We strongly believe in promoting from within and this program is how we build our leadership team for the long run.
We focus on developing people quickly from individual contributor to leadership and your rate of progression is determined by your own pace of learning and development.

The Client Acquisition team is a critical component to our revenue growth and culture at Meltwater. Every member of the team embodies our core values, especially ownership, fun, number 1 and respect. We drive tremendous values as a team by building awareness of Meltwater, driving the sales funnel for the Meltwater solutions, and directly contributing to the success of Meltwater expansion.

At each stage of the program, you will be making a real impact on our business by contributing directly to the growth and development of our client base. As you progress through the program, you’ll also be directly responsible for developing and nurturing talent for the business.
Phase 1: Business Development Representative (Duration 3-6 Months)
Learn business value of online media & Meltwater sales methodology. Well train to handle b2b software sales cycle from generating leads, prospecting, demonstrating our business values to senior business leaders/ C-level executives.
Phase 2: Business Development Consultant (Duration 12-18 Months)
Further develop skills to handle full cycle b2b software sales, especially engaging and demonstrating our business values to senior business leaders/ C-level executives, subscribing new customers to the solution and working across teams to onboard new clients.
Phase 3: Business Development Manager (Duration 12-24 Months)
Lead a team of consultants to bring the best business values to the new clients, focus on people development and inspire the next generation of manager-to-be.
Phase 4: Managing Director (Duration 24 Months+)
Take ownership of the vision for your team's growth, make it a place where everyone is challenged, learn, excel and can do their best work. Manage multi-million USD portfolio of clients with full P&L responsibility.

Bachelor’s degree with evidence of high achievement in academics and extracurriculars
With work experience or relevant training in startup, Fortune 1000 companies, banking, management consulting firm, technology solution-based selling company, PR agency, marketing agency, market research or any international fast paced environment is highly preferred
Fluent in written and spoken English and Cantonese/Mandarin
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Team player mentality with the ability to work independently toward lofty goals
Well rounded with varied interests, background and proven leadership experience
Passionate about entrepreneurship, self-motivated, curious and resilient
Have strong interest in news and current affairs
