Mapita Oy is a SaaS company providing a community engagement platform called Maptionnaire. The company is based in Finland and founded in 2011. Our firm spawned from the land use planning and urban studies group at Aalto University, where our team conducted research on geographical online questionnaires. Our proprietary community engagement service Maptionnaire__®was first launched in 2012. It’s based on years of research using the SoftGIS (geographic information system) method for analyzing human experiences and everyday behavior related to residents' environments. Today, the Maptionnaire Community Engagement Platform is a global service with customers in over 30 countries.
Mapita is looking for an analytical, results-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist to join its 15-person team in Helsinki. As a Digital Marketing Specialist you will be responsible for developing and improving web and marketing analytics at Mapita. Hopefully, you will also have the skills to take over our marketing and sales ecosystem. You will join a small yet experienced and highly-skilled team that will be there to support you in your role as a Digital Marketing Specialist.
In this position, you will be working closely with Mapita’s sales and marketing staff. We hope you have the knowledge and courage to take over Mapita’s digital marketing tasks, marketing and sales software, as well as monitoring the results and the effectiveness of our activities across all media. Your main goal, at the beginning, will be to increase awareness and the amount of good-quality inbound leads across online channels.
We appreciate your previous experience and proactive approach to bringing insight that will help Mapita & Maptionnaire to grow and succeed in the future. We are a small start-up team. We don’t expect you to know everything but we welcome people who are eager to learn. Ideally, we are looking for someone with an analytical & sales-forward mindset; content skills we can provide inhouse.

We hope that you have:
Previous work experience in digital marketing (at least 1-2 years), for example in a digital marketing agency or in an in-house marketing team (or other proven skills)
A comprehensive understanding of digital marketing channels and SEO
Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, Datastudio, Mailchimp, Pipedrive and/or Squarespace (all negotiable)
Fluency in English & Finnish; the working languages in our organization (we are fine with English)
Interest towards city planning and culture
