Pierce, Europe's leading online retailer for gear and accessories within Motorcycles and Snowmobiles, are looking for a Marketing Automation (MA) Specialist/Product Owner to join our E-commerce Experience team.

Pierce is a rapidly growing company, committed to offer a state-of-the-art shopping experience to our passionate customers through our online stores 24MX, XLMOTO and Sledstore. We have a local online presence in 16 European markets and two shops for the rest of the world that provides our customers with a huge range of products and an extraordinary level of service.

In the role as MA Specialist/Product Owner you will take ownership of Pierce’s short- & long-term e-mail marketing roadmap, both strategically and operationally. You will carefully orchestrate our e-mail channel for 39 localized e-stores (and counting) and securing the same great customer experience to all customers. To thrive in this role we believe you are a tech-savvy specialist with a wide skillset of channels and platforms but with extra love for the e-mail channel. You like executing ideas yourself as much as you like seeing team members executing your plans.

The majority of our E-commerce Experience Team are located at our Digital hub in Åre and the placement for this role is either Åre or our HQ in Stockholm


Key responsibilities

  • Ownership of Pierce’s short- & long-term e-mail marketing strategy and roadmap
  • Ownership of the e-mail channel (traffic, sales etc.)
  • Define target audiences and develop corresponding communication strategies across multiple channels.
  • Develop automations, templates, dynamic modules and segmentation to improve campaign performance, branding activites and customer loyalty
  • Actively measure, analyze, test and determine new opportunities and provide recommendations for improved customer experience
  • Optimize performance through A/B testing and partner with Campaign, Branding & Performance Marketing teams to improve results and make program improvements
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to develop, execute and optimize customer loyalty and retention.
  • Develop lifecycle programs and deliver actionable insights that contribute to business growth
  • Map customer journeys across the full lifecycle, defining multi-channel touchpoints, highlighting areas of friction, and identifying engagement and conversion opportunities
  • Team manager for the CRM team

Skills and experience

  • 3+ years executing and managing e-mail marketing strategies
  • 3+ years experience in B2C e-commerce
  • Strong understanding of complex technical environments – you need to be able to connect the dots!
  • Experience in Emarsys, Voyado, or other leading ESPs (Emarsys preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects end-to-end
  • Basic hands-on knowledge in HTML, CSS and basic scripting
  • Knowledge of do’s & don'ts in email and online marketing
  • Experience in web analytic software such as Google Analytics
  • Experience in managing a team and team members

Bonus experience

  • Experience in working with a CDP
  • Experience in data modelling and SQL
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience from Motorcycle, MX or Snowmobile business
