We are looking for a Claims Executive /Senior Claims Executive to strengthen our P&I and Offshore Energy Claims team in Oslo. The team is cross-functional and responsible for handling a variety of claims within P&I and Offshore Energy claims.

As a Claims Executive, you will be responsible for handling claims and provide high quality legal claims advice within all aspects of P&I operations. You will work closely with our Members and manage your own cases with a high degree of autonomy, together with a very competent claims team. In your daily work you will have contact with shipowners / operators/charterers and traders, surveyors, experts, and lawyers. Your work will involve evaluating, negotiating and settling claims as well as providing advice to Members and clients. As a member of the Claims team and in cooperation with the Underwriting team you will contribute towards market development of the Oslo member and client portfolio.

The position's main responsibilities will be within P&I claims, with an opportunity to develop further expertise within Offshore Energy claims.

Skills & Requirements

  • Experience with handling P&I Claims or relevant legal experience is an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both colleagues and clients

  • Ability to analyze, structure and organize tasks and work independently
