Senior Account Executive

The Account Executive is responsible for selling Basware’s full portfolio of software and services to new name customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Exceed sales targets by hunting, qualifying, developing and closing new customer opportunities on Basware’s cloud solutions in assigned territory and segment
  • Act as the primary contact of prospects

  • Plan and execute complex sales cycles with global enterprise customers

  • Engage with C-level executives to position Basware’s strategic value proposition

  • Develop territory and account plans and drive the execution of these plans

  • Define marketing activities to grow pipeline and increase win rate together with the Marketing Manager

  • Pipeline management and continuous periodical reporting

  • Foster strong relationships with key customer personnel and develop a deep understanding of how our solution addresses the challenges in each customer’s business

  • Lead cross-functional account team to ensure alignment and execution on account strategy

Skills & Requirements


  • Minimum 7 years of direct sales experience in the enterprise software industry
  • Proven track record in solution selling based on consultative selling approach

  • Consistent and proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quota

  • Ability to sell based on ROI, value selling and translating into final proposal

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft and CRM tools

  • Target driven, structured with entrepreneurial skills
  • Clear and effective communicator, excellent presentation skills both verbally and in writing

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence decision makers
