Northvolt has an exciting job offer as Head of Legal for our Polish operations entailing an opportunity for you to help build our legal team in Poland.

You will have the opportunity to be part of building a competent and dependable legal team, capable of scaling Northvolt’s operations in Poland and beyond. Given the timing of you joining Northvolt and the early stage in which the company is in currently, you will be given a unique opportunity to have great impact in the development of a new company and industry.

Your work will be focused on supporting the Polish operations within a wide range of legal matters, including general corporate matters, Construction law matters, HR matters and compliance matters and provide on-going advice during the production phases of the Northvolt project in Poland.

It is of importance that you have extensive experience from working with corporate law matters and construction law matters in a global environment and have previous experience from building and/or leading a team.

Your work will consist of, but not be limited to:

  • Negotiating, reviewing, and drafting different kind of construction related agreements as well as environment and energy specific and other commercial agreements in both English and Polish
  • Handling corporate law matters
  • Supporting the CEO, the board of directors and the management team
  • Substation experience from building compliance program and implementation, including knowledge of GDPR.
  • Providing input on employment related matters
  • Managing and optimizing risks

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Degree of Master of Laws
  • 10 years of relevant experience from a reputable law firm and international industrial company in a global environment
  • Extensive experience from working with general corporate law, construction law and of reviewing and drafting commercial agreements and compliance
  • Experience from working with environmental and energy law, especially related to renewable energy sources and power purchase agreements (PPA) is a plus
  • Previous experience from building and leading a team
  • Previous experience from working with HR matters
  • Experience and interest in manufacturing industry is a plus

The factory is a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions.

We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
