Sales business function is responsible for growing Basware's cloud revenue via new customer acquisition and by driving expansion within a satisfied customer base. Through customer-centric selling and collaborative account management we lead prospects & customers through the buying process with Basware, leveraging sales platforms including CRM, CPQ and CLM that support managing the sales cycle.

Under the direction of the Head of Customer Success, the Account Manager has overall responsibility for building loyal relationships with the installed base and maximizing revenue from existing customers.

  • Increase customer success and loyalty with existing customers
  • Build, maintain and consistently capitalize on a strong pipeline of software and service opportunities within the assigned customer base
  • Foster strong relationships with key customer personnel and develop a deep understanding of how our solution addresses the challenges in each customer’s business
  • Conduct strategic planning/review sessions with key stakeholders and decision makers in existing customer base
  • Plan and execute sales cycles with existing customers
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customer base, monitoring their satisfaction and loyalty levels, and uncovering new opportunities
  • Execute on the tactics of the Customer Success program:
    • Account planning and strategies
    • Weekly internal status reports
    • Weekly internal status meetings
    • Conduct business reviews with customers
    • Internal reports for each business review
    • Capture notes and opportunities in Microsoft CRM
  • Advocate customer needs and requirements to internal teams
  • Manage resolution of escalated issues for existing customers
  • Travel up to 25%

Skills & Requirements


  • Significant experience with existing customer relationship management

  • History of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets, preferably in the enterprise software industry

  • Strong process orientation
  • Understanding of enterprise software applications
  • Results and goal oriented
  • Self-motivated; consistently demonstrates the drive to exceed expectations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field preferred


  • Passionate, driven self-starter with a track record of progressive sales achievement and increasing responsibility
  • Customer-centric mentality with a history of building strong relationships
  • Personable, with strong communication, presentation, selling, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel (according to guidelines)


  • Financial stability of a global publicly listed company with $170 million in revenue and a track record of profitability for 30 years
  • Leading edge software products in the enterprise purchase-to-pay market, according to Gartner, Forrester, and AMR
