Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Health and Safety Manager to join our passionate team at Battery Systems in Stockholm.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that health & safety meets the highest standards and complies with the legislation and the internal rules and routines. The purpose is also to coach, assist and educate the company with expertise within this area. 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The Health & Safety Manager is responsible to ensure that everyone in the company have the basis for complying with health and safety laws and that Northvolt follow the best practice in terms of health & safety.
  • Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health & safety 
  • Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions 
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new preventive measures 
  • Coach and educate the organisation to become a world class health & safety organisation
  • Develop and execute health & safety plans in the workplace according to laws and guidelines 
  • Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations 
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics

Skills & Requirements


  • Professional safety experience in manufacturing industry
  • Deep understanding of legal health and safety 
  • Ability to produce reports and developing relevant policies 
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment 
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities 
  • Fluent in English

Specific skills 

  • Good knowledge and experience of Swedish legislation 
  • Ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary, as well as multi-national, workforce
