Our Solution Architecture team is looking for a business-minded technical leader with a passion for designing and implementing Purchase-to-Pay solutions for a diverse array of enterprise customers. You will have the opportunity to use leading Purchase-to-Pay technology to create significant business value for our customers by simplifying and automating procurement, accounts payable and finance processes and by unlocking the benefits of connected commerce through the Basware Network.

As a Solution Architect, you’ll utilize expertise in Purchase-to-Pay technology to translate the customers’ business needs, processes, and trade interactions to the Networked Purchase-to-Pay solution design. The Solution Architect leads the technical engagements, defines, and designs the customer solution architectures, and develops broad expertise in Basware solutions and key enabling technologies. The Solution Architect will help organizations understand best practices around networked Purchase-to-Pay solutions and how to migrate existing solutions to the cloud. As a trusted customer advocate, the Solution Architect will work towards the long-term success of our customers by proactively promoting ways to maximize the benefits of the solutions in use.

You'll work with our Solution Architecture team at one of our offices in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, or Espoo. You will join our dynamic Customer Services organization offering many opportunities for your professional development. You will work in close cooperation with pre-sales, project management, solution delivery, and customer success teams to shape and deliver the leading customer experience in Networked Purchase-to-Pay.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and confidently presenting solution architectures to support Basware and customer decision making.
  • Creating transition plans for enterprises from their current state to the Basware cloud-based solution.
  • Leading detailed discussions, evaluation exercises, and workshops with a range of stakeholders to determine business and technology needs and translate them to workable solutions.
  • Leading the design, build, test, and deployment of solutions delivered to enterprise customers.
  • Ensuring quality, sustainability, and continuous optimization of the implemented solution.
  • Working with a range of stakeholders to seek, research and determine the most appropriate solutions to address business, performance, operational, and/or technology needs.
  • Expert-level coaching and support for our customers through all stages of the customer lifecycle with advice on solving complex challenges, improving maturity, technology transition, optimal usage of our solutions, and best practice.
  • Contributing to a global Basware community, acting as a thought leader, coaching and mentoring consultants, while improving and developing new tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Skills & Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of Purchase-to-Pay or financial supply chain processes and concepts.
  • Broad knowledge of electronic trade interactions, including commonly used e-commerce standards (i.e. Peppol, UBL), practices, policies and regulations.
  • Thoroughly understand customer needs and the value proposition of cloud-based solutions.
  • Broad knowledge of relevant technology architectures. For example, application integration, networking, information security, cognitive automation, etc.
  • Understand the fundamentals of enterprise applications. Knowledge in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar is seen as an advantage.
  • Understand how Business Intelligence can be applied to optimize processes and solutions.
  • Ability to approach solution architecture design holistically from end to end.
  • Proven track record of deploying cloud solutions to large, multi-national customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Good presentation skills with a capability of leveraging business terms to relay solutions in simple terms.
  • Ability to confidently interact with customers at all levels, identify sales opportunities, and influence customer buying decisions.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to objectively analyze facts to form judgments and influence decisions.
  • Be able to travel.

Work Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, i.e. Computer Science, Economics, Procurement, or General Business.
  • 5+ years of design, implementation, and/or consulting experience with business applications or systems architecture.
  • Experience in Source-to-Pay operations, consulting, or technology/software pre-sales.
