The Headquarter and Prototype Lab is located in Stockholm, and production is in Gdansk, Poland. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start, building a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions in Gdansk, Poland. As a Logistics Developer specializing in Planning you would focus on supporting the process of designing, procuring and implementing the set-up of capacity, production and material planning to our second Battery Systems factory in Gdansk. You will be based in Gdansk together with a local team and would travel to Stockholm on a bi-weekly/monthly basis. You will report to Dora Sebestyen, Logistics Manager of Cells and Systems

We:
In broad terms, our mission as Logistics is to support Northvolt’s growth and expansion with logistical expertise and to create a robust framework, within which Northvolt units can operate.

You:
Generally speaking, we believe that you already have a reasonable level of experience within Logistics planning. For a few years, you have designed and developed logistical network(s), led warehouse and safety stock sizing studies, and identified bottlenecks. You also have a good understanding on how to use, or even better set up, different systems and modules (ERP/WMS/TMS) to support logistical planning and execution.

You are also adaptable: from collaborating in designing optimized production schedules and to strategic planning for every part (PFEP), you can crunch data, have strong analytical skills and lead strategic projects. As Northvolt develops, so will you and your range of responsibilities.

In your job you will:

  • Be responsible to design, maintain and improve our logistics network of components

  • Be the main contact person and create a Plan for Every Part together and in collaboration with the Procurement and Production Planning team

  • Give input and optimize the logistics flow and the warehousing strategy for all components

  • Create and optimize SOPs and work instructions

  • Collect, manage, organise and analyse logistical data, seeking improvement possibilities

  • Support system implementation (WMS, TMS,ERP)

  • Be an active player in the Sales, Inventory and Operational Planning (SIOP) process

About the company

Northvolt makes green batteries for a blue planet. Affordable cells and high-quality battery systems. All manufactured with a record-low carbon footprint. Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely.

To accomplish this, we do things differently. We design, manufacture, and recycle everything under one roof. We even build our own factories. All this is incredibly challenging and requires us to think in unconventional ways. We’re constantly experimenting, learning and adapting to make batteries so great – they will one day make oil history.

Northvolt is growing fast. We’re staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås, as well as our Gdansk facility for production of battery systems. We're also hiring for our two gigafactories: Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå, Sweden, and Northvolt Zwei in Salzgitter, Germany. We want to work with smart individuals from all disciplines. Strong individuals that truly want to make a positive impact on the future. Those of us already on board share a passion for our mission. We’re prepared to work hard in pursuit of excellence. We enjoy the ride and our main drive is to make a difference for real. As a team, we’re dedicated to thinking new, working hard and having fun.
