Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Planner to join our passionate Quality Control team in Västerås, Sweden. In joining us you will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society and help to build one of the first large scale European battery factories.
The Quality Control team is responsible for the execution of all quality inspections of the battery production and materials development processes; from incoming quality controls of raw materials and components to process quality controls of intermediate products and outgoing inspections of final battery cells. Additionally, the team provides analytical & materials characterisation services to several further parts of the company from special requests by the Production teams to the R&D teams, Environmental, Safety lab, Validation & Recycling teams. An increasing and continuously varying amount of test demands needs to be organized, planned for and aligned within the team and all internal customers to ensure we can meet expectations and deliver results on-time to all stakeholders. The planning needs to consider available resources, both in terms of lab personnel working in shifts, the analytical equipment status and the different stakeholders and the various project priority changes.
As a QC planner, you will coordinate with all internal customers, area managers, equipment owners and shift leads to set up short and long-term planning, identify resource constraints on time, and ensure continuous improvements of the QC lab in terms of more efficiency in the lab’s ways of working, reduce analyses turnaround times and overall increase data quality and results as well as customer satisfaction. You will report to the Quality Control Manager.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Report and visualise for the team the daily laboratory output and the team’s KPIs.
Support LIMS implementation efforts in the QC lab.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous planning experience within the technology industry. Experience working in an analytical laboratory is a plus. You like to work and communicate with colleagues from various backgrounds and teams. You have an eye for detail, while at the same time keeping the larger picture in sight. You are organized, pragmatic and manage to keep an overview even when things get hectic. You are a curious, life-long learner, who takes ownership and is eager to collaborate to build better workflows.
