Job Description

Meltwater is looking for a Director of Product Marketing who will work to deeply understand our customers in order to define and then execute on our Product Marketing strategy.

In this senior role, you will be responsible for managing a global Product Marketing team, and will oversee product marketing, sales enablement, and customer communications. Working as a conduit between our customers, our sales and customer success teams, and our product and engineering organization, Product Marketing plays a critical role in the success and continued growth of Meltwater. We are looking for someone who comes preloaded with best practices and can lead the team both strategically and by example, while getting their hands dirty.

Working closely with our Strategic Product Group and our Executive Team, this is an impactful leadership opportunity within a fast-growing, publicly-traded global company.

Candidates can be based anywhere in the United States with a Meltwater office, (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, Chicago, New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Raleigh, Manchester, Atlanta, Miami, Charlotte), with the expectation of a hybrid office/WFH set up with some travel (when things get ‘back to normal’) and you will:

  • Lead the global Product Marketing team, including team members responsible for product marketing, sales enablement, content production, customer communication.

  • Partner with key stakeholder groups - customers, sales/customer success, field marketing, partnerships, product/engineering - to ensure alignment in expectations between all groups.

  • Define a strategy for product-led growth, helping to generate new business through a freemium strategy, and to facilitate expansion of existing customers through in-app Product Marketing.

  • Own pricing and packaging, factoring in market dynamics, cost drivers, and other factors that will allow us to improve quality and quantity of the deals we do on a daily basis.

  • Oversee product launches and releases, including the creation and completion of all material for internal and external use.

  • Review the existing Product Marketing strategy at Meltwater, and put in place processes and workflows to ensure success of the team and function.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing and Sales Enablement at a SaaS or social media company

  • 5+ years managing high-performing teams with a proven track record of success

  • A demonstrated ability to oversee product launches from ideation to execution

  • A collaborative approach to work, with proven relationships across different departments and stakeholder groups.

  • Detailed understanding of the trends and technology helping to shape the Marketing, PR, Communications and Social Media landscape

  • Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as external-facing presentation skills

  • Enthusiasm for a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

  • Outstanding time management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines

  • Bachelor’s degree with evidence of high achievement in academics

  • Familiarity with products such as Seismic, WalkMe, Intercom, ProductBoard

  • Existing relationships with journalists and thought leaders in the PR, social media or technology space would be a plus
