To further strengthen our compliance culture in Elopak, we are looking for a Compliance Manager who will assist our Chief Legal & Compliance Officer to manage Elopak’s ethics and compliance program and processes and work closely with all business areas in Elopak. This is a newly established position, answering to the continuous development of the field and practice of compliance.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Elopak’s legal team is both responsible for providing legal advice to all our business and corporate activities as well as handling the compliance function.

Our new Compliance Manager will join Elopak at a time where much of the foundational elements are in place. The position will be responsible for operationalizing the work further. We are pursuing a culture where ethics and compliance are fully integrated in our behaviors and values. As our Compliance Manager you will be working closely with the entire organization with analysis, awareness building and training to strengthen this culture. The aim of the position is to focus on the preventive compliance work, working with values and behaviors rather than rules and regulations. In addition, you will be participating in the continuous strategic initiatives.

The position is located in Oslo HQ (in Skøyen) and reports to Elopak’s Chief Legal & Compliance Officer.

An outline of key responsibilities:

  • Conduct and facilitate holistic country risk assessments to identify e.g. political, legal, regulatory, ethical and reputational risks associated with operations in and / or deliveries to high risk countries
  • Develop and perform compliance training and awareness programs across the group
  • Actively support operational personnel with ethics and compliance strategic direction and advice
  • Support and collaborate with other functions/departments throughout the business areas (e.g. HR, Risk Management, Finance, IT, Supply chain etc.)
  • Facilitate and support Integrity Due Diligence processes in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and tools
  • Support Elopak’s whistleblower system and process across the Group and participate in internal investigations
  • Contribute to the development, facilitation and implementation of effective strategies, policies, standards and tools to assess, mitigate and monitor compliance and business integrity risks
  • Maintain and communicate the Code of Conduct, the Anti Corruption policy, the Third Party Representative, GDPR Policy etc.
  • Continuously improve Elopak’s ethics and compliance program, based on best practices and lessons learned
  • Manage planning and implementation of annual ethics and compliance plan, with priorities and targets based on the annual risk assessment and the annual compliance directions
  • Contribute to annual compliance reporting

Skills & Requirements

As our new Compliance Manager, you are well familiar with global laws, regulations and international standards including, but not limited to the following areas: Anti-Corruption, Sanctions, Human Rights and preferably also Data Privacy and Money laundering. You have organizational and industry experience and posits an understanding and experience with investigative/audit methods.

Relevant candidates have educational level corresponding to master’s degree in economics, politics, auditing, law or other relevant higher education, or equivalent practical experience. We believe that our ideal candidate has at least 5+ years of relevant experience with business integrity/compliance, preferably from larger, complex organizations in an international environment.

Experience with digital tools such as e-learning systems, and implementing effective training sessions (e.g. nano training), will also be beneficial. Excellent oral and written English language skills is a prerequisite to succeed in the role.
