Haglöfs is recruiting a Global HR Director to our head office in Alvik, Stockholm, Sweden.

As part of the ongoing expansion and transformation journey that we are on we are now recruiting a Global HR Director.

As our Global HR Director, you will play a key role in our continued success – and in helping us to succeed through a period of both extensive growth and intense transformation. The logic of retail is changing - and we have every intention of navigating very successfully through that transition. For all the obvious reasons, HR has a key role to play in the exciting transformation that we are in. We hope that you share our passion and want to come and join our great team on this journey.

The retail industry is changing and Haglöfs is growing at a rapid pace right now. We are introducing new roles and skills in the e-com space, adapting to digitalization and building new sales channels. This means new ways of working, new skills and competencies to grow and develop and new processes to replace the existing ones. Our managers need support in leading this transition and Learning and Development becomes a critical focus area. As we grow we also need to put even more focus on our Culture and Values in order to make sure that we evolve in the way that we want. We also want you to take lead in improving and aligning our Compensation and Benefit program.

You will have the Global responsibility for our HR agenda, with approximately 200 employees across 7 regions (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, France, Germany and UK).

More specifically you will:

  • Support and coach CEO, leadership team members and line managers in HR related issues
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Together with senior management, driving the efforts to early identify future development needs and allocation of key personnel to ensure sustained growth in line with business goals
  • Drive initiatives to revitalize and further strengthen our culture – we need to re-focus here as we start coming back to normal after the pandemic
  • Looking after our upskilling/re-skilling agenda and connecting this to our L&D agenda
  • Maintain and develop value-adding compensation and benefits program
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Drive collaboration with the unions, leading union negotiations whenever needed
  • Nurture a positive working environment

Skills & Requirements

We believe that the following describes you pretty well:

  • University degree or equivalent preferably within HR and/or Business Administration
  • A minimum of 10 years broad HR experience, with at least 4-5 years in a managerial position in an international environment
  • Experience of the consumer goods industry in an international environment, experience of working with a strong lifestyle brand is beneficial
  • Experience of driving change as part of a business going through rapid development or transformation
  • Eagerness to learn and improve, constantly looking for better ways of working with a positive, solution-oriented mindset and a can-do attitude
  • Driving results, change and development with positive energy, empathy and a sense of togetherness
  • Strategic understanding - ability to see the bigger picture and to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Lack of prestige and willingness to also take on more operational HR tasks
  • Team-player with ability to build and manage trust-based relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Solid understanding of the area of compensation and benefits
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written
