Rud Pedersen Public Affairs is looking for a motivated trainee to join our growing Brussels public affairs consultancy for a 6-month paid internship.

Our Brussels office opened in 2017, and we are currently looking to strengthen our team with a project assistant/research executive focused on working for one of our largest clients in the agriculture sector.

We offer the opportunity to work and grow in a fast-paced but energetic consultancy environment. Anyone joining will have the opportunity to develop within the Rud Pedersen team, working with our Brussels partners and the wider company.

Rud Pedersen has seven offices across six countries, and around 180 consultants with their own experience from politics and/or public administration. The Rud Pedersen Group is a growing public affairs and communications company that includes Rud Pedersen Public Affairs, Welcom and King Street PR.

The position

In particular, the role entails:

  • Following EU developments and issues of relevance for our client;
  • Supporting the overall team and project coordinator with legislative, regulatory and press monitoring;
  • Taking an active role in our project team, suggesting improvements for the structure and roll-out of the project;
  • Helping to organize meetings, keep track of the agendas, and execute tasks in light of the project

Skills & Requirements

  • Experience in project management and/or working with EU institutions, national governments (i.e. internship) or a suitable association is welcome;
  • Strong interest in the European Parliament;
  • University degree in relevant fields – i.e. EU Affairs, international relations, law, political science, project management;
  • Interest and preferably content knowledge in the field of agriculture, farm to fork, biodiversity;
  • An enthusiasm for taking part in a big project structure, building close client and partner relations and be an active part of the roll-out of the project from administrative tasks to the research and writing of briefing reports;
  • Interest in helping to organise and manage events;

Full professional proficiency in English, with working knowledge of another EU official language. Your writing and English skills will be tested during the interview via a short written assessment.
