Looking for an exciting sales opportunity in the publishing industry?

IglooBooks (part of Bonnier Books UK) is searching for an organised and passionate new team member to join its co-editions team, based in Sywell in Northamptonshire. You’ll be providing vital support for the team - particularly those based remotely across Europe.

You’ll support your sales colleagues and the sales director with a variety of office and admin based tasks, including: supporting the team with organising clients meetings, and helping to follow up on these meetings during particularly busy times (which will include sending samples/requesting and sending PDF interiors of titles); taking responsibility for organising the collection of books that the sales team need for major international bookfairs; creating the ‘co-eds newsletter’ which sales people send on a monthly basis to clients, providing information on large upcoming print runs, new titles, and international bestsellers.

Additionally, you’ll keep a record of sales material available to the co-ed sales team; update the team ‘contribution tracker’, which collates weekly information on sales progress for the team; help with sales analysis; regularly communicate royalty sales across the co-edition team; ensure that clients are reporting reprints of royalty titles accurately; and assist with ordering in books from the warehouse.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Sending samples as requested from the office to remote based sales colleagues or their clients
  • Assist sales people with the creation of QRF/SRF/NTS forms. These forms are the responsibility of sales people, but if a team member is on a trip or is particularly busy, then the help of sales support will be needed.
  • Support sales people with sending material to clients during particularly busy periods, and monitor when PDFs of new titles become available, ensuring that they are saved correctly within the co-ed PDFs folder.
  • Provide support ahead of LBF, Bologna and Frankfurt bookfairs by organising the collection of titles (finished and dummies) ahead of courier deadline.
  • Monitor allocation of advances / dummies
  • Help update the ‘co-ed presenter’ – a collection of AI sheets for titles that we’re actively selling (eg recent / new titles, successful backlist - for sales team trips and meetings
  • Ensure relevant titles are brought into the pickface if levels run low, or into the office ahead of key trips. During particularly busy times for sales people, you will help with ensuring the Creative Room has all key titles needed ahead of video meetings.
  • Create the bi-monthly ‘co-ed newsletter’ – a letter to all clients that details recent bestsellers, upcoming large print runs, new videos for new titles, photos of new advances etc.
  • Keeping royalty tracker updated with new deals, and actively chasing clients to ensure they are reporting reprints of all titles.
  • Helping the sales director with analysis of product to ensure future success of the sales team. This will include showing annual success of various series and comparing to previous years.
