Meltwater’s Research & Analytics team is making data-driven decisions a reality. Our stakeholders include:
The Product team - we build metrics that help them identify the next great feature, and measure whether or not they’ve hit the mark once it’s released
The Executive team - we provide them with the engagement metrics associated with churned and renewing customers and analyses and recommendations to drive strategy
The Customer Success and Sales teams - we provide them with customer engagement data so that they can identify customers that need help the most
The Analytics Engineer is a cross-functional role, where the core of the position centers around analytics, but also requires strong technical skills related to integrations, ETL, data science and general coding, as well as communication skills.
In this role, on a given day you might be
Developing custom integration components in Python to load data into our Customer Success tool, Planhat, to inform Sales of their customers’ engagement
Using ETL tools to aggregate data from sources across our organization, to enable Sales and Product to understand how customers engage with our products
Using Python to analyze customer churn and work with the rest of the team to provide recommendations to our executives
Collaborating with the rest of the team to optimize our data architecture and tool selection
Working with our team to implement new security requirements in our AWS environments
Building dashboards to help Product Managers improve our product features
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and a demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to technical problems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong SQL skills, and experience with relational databases (Aurora, MySQL)
Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau
Nice to have skills:
Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services) technologies such as Redshift, Aurora, Lambda, SQS, SNS
Advanced skills with at least one BI tool (Tableau, PowerBI, Amplitude, Excel, Looker, etc)
Experience with ETL tools (Pentaho and similar tools)
Experience with Segment.io
Experience working in an Agile development environment
