This person would also have collaborative spirit - working with people from very different backgrounds, culture and be able to communicate complex concepts to others in written and verbal form as well as create enthusiasm among others for SEO.

The team needs someone who can ask questions, continuously keep learning, learn from others, though as well be relentlessly resourceful.

In addition to the above you are passionate about SEO. We expect you to be and act as the thought leader/strategist being the centre of excellence for everything related SEO. This is a unique opportunity to create and execute the strategy for an international, wide assortment e-commerce player.

It is not a walk in the park, closer to structured chaos. Being good in organization/planning, being independent and adaptable are traits that separate high performers at Pierce.


  • Own the SEO sales budget.
  • Own and drive implementation of SEO Strategy (Technical and Content).
  • Own SEO project pipeline, manage ongoing projects and workflows. Work with extended developer team and other functions as needed.
  • Own ongoing country specific SEO gap analysis.
  • Own reporting and analysis of performance metrics and regularly share them with the greater team.
  • Evangelize and educate the company on best practices for SEO.

Skills & Requirements

  • Fundamental understanding of technical SEO issues, including site architecture optimization, site speed considerations, on-page and off-page optimization, keyword research, competitor analysis and reporting SEO to leadership team.
  • Familiarity with common SEO tools, including 3rd party rank tracking tools, link analysis tools, and search engine webmaster tools like Google Search Console and enterprise SEO tools like OnCrawl / Botify.
  • Strong ability to identify technical issues and provide a clear direction for potential solutions
  • Must be able to communicate succinctly to executives and others who will not understand the esoteric nature of SEO.
  • Proven experience managing technical SEO projects in cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience managing SEO in high growth e-commerce company.
  • We have people from more than 20 different nationalities – be comfortable in both verbal and written communication in English.
  • Previous project management experience is a plus.
  • Product owner certification is a plus.
  • Previous team lead experience is a plus.

2020Pierce was recognized as one of the three best eCommerce companies in Sweden with the nomination as 'D-Award' finalist.
