Sales business function is responsible for growing Basware's cloud revenue via new customer acquisition and by driving expansion within a satisfied customer base. Through customer-centric selling and collaborative account management, we lead prospects & customers through the buying process with Basware, leveraging sales platforms including CRM, CPQ, and CLM that support managing the sales cycle.

In partnership with Marketing, Customer Services, and Partners, we enable organizations to simplify operations, spend smarter and drive the transformation of their Finance & Procurement functions.
The Account Executive is responsible for selling Basware’s full portfolio of software and services to new name customers in a defined industry segment within the DACH area. In addition, the candidate will be also able to introduce newly launched products and services into existing customer accounts. The role can be office-(Munich or Dusseldorf) or home-based, but with a significant emphasis on f2f customer engagement.
Meet sales targets as defined by the company each year
Combine sales activity, revenue growth and client retention activity to deliver against both, short and long-term business targets
Developing and executing successful growth strategies to sign up new customers and actively enlarge the Basware footprint in a specific industry or region
Provide leadership during face-2-face meetings with existing and prospective customers
Define territory, account strategy and hunting activities for acquiring new customers and then provide the leadership to execute against the targets
Develop and expand senior level relationships with prospects and existing clients
Generate sales proposals ensuring they meet customers’ requirements and expectations, working with other business units as required
Provide regular sales and market feedback
Record of all sales related activities in Basware’s sales management system (CRM) to ensure ongoing forecasting
Provide guidance to internal company projects to aid the development of business and improve process efficiencies
Perform other activities at the request of the line manager
Skills & Requirements
What we’re looking for:
The successful applicant will have quota-carrying sales experience of selling software and services in a new business sales environment. Industry knowledge is not a prerequisite but would be an important advantage. More important is a strong new business sales attitude combined with high levels of self-motivation, and a desire to succeed.
Technology sales experience (~3 yrs) in a new business, solution sales environment (SaaS)
A history of achievement selling cloud-based solutions
Proven track record of success against targets
Success driven, entrepreneurial and commercially aware individual
Stable work history with suitable references
Fluent in spoken and written Germany (native speaker) AND English
Additional foreign languages considered useful
Professional manner with first-class interpersonal skills, including influencing and networking abilities. Customer focus, both internal and external
Problem solver, self-motivated, driven by results
Clear and effective communicator, excellent presentation skills
Demonstrates strong judgement and decision making skills when necessary
Excellent time management and prioritization
Employ a value-add sales methodology
Be comfortable with extensive travel as may be required
