Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an experienced Risk Analyst (Quality Team) to join our passionate Quality team in Skellefteå , Sweden.

Do you feel the heartbeat when it comes to analysing risks?

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

You will be a driving force within the design of our processes and products. Identifying risks workshop based in suitable environments, guiding mitigation action, enforcing our team to look, where we have not “looked into” before is what we are looking for.

In general, you have a long experience in Quality Management/ Risk Management and have been driving those topics in large, innovative and challenging projects. Specifically, you have a deep understanding of working in a matrix project organisation where fast execution is key.

Tasks include:

  • Creation of FMEA structures for existing and new products and production lines.
  • Planning and execution of FMEA team workshops with the specialist departments.
  • Maintaining and further development of standards for FMEAs as a Knowledge Database System for further projects and synergy effects.
  • Development of the methods according to the standards and beyond.
  • Development of Benchmark Workshop with competitors of the same and/or different products.
  • Enforcing of measures in all departments and presenting results to the project teams and customers.
  • Create training concepts to push FMEAs to the most important development tool.
  • Linking FMEA and Project Risk Management with Enterprise Risk Management to a maximum of transparency.
  • Creating core teams and core knowledge.

Skills & Requirements

Minimum Education / Experience Requirements

  • MSc degree in Chemistry/Manufacturing/Engineering/Physics
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience within high volume production/assembly industries (e.g. battery, automotive, pharmaceutical, chemical, FMCG) in Risk Management
  • Successfully conducted FMEAs, Risk systems as well as tracked mitigation actions
  • Must have worked in multi-cultural environment

Additional Skills (Desired, but not Required)

  • Proven experience with IQ-RM tool
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, e.g. ISO 9001, IATF16949, TQM
  • Experience in SPC, process capability, Quality troubleshooting tools and problem-solving methodology
  • Experience in Lean and six sigma
  • Project management skills

Specific skills (eg specific programmes, languages, certifications etc)

  • Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
  • Highly organised, pragmatic thinking and solution oriented
  • An eye for detail
  • Exceptionally good negotiation, moderation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
