Do you have experience with online marketing and social media? Do you thrive in an environment that’s buzzing film quotes and the next upcoming film premiere? Look no further - we are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to work with theatrical film releases in Sweden!
In SF Studios’ home office in Stockholm, we are working with both film distribution and film production. We are distributing our own productions as well as external productions, ranging from local films, independent films to majors from Sony Pictures as of now. We launch around 50 film titles in cinemas every year.
Each film title is unique and requires different strategy in positioning, audience and budget and has different competition. As Marketing Coordinator, you be part of all the phases of the launching process; ranging from the initial phase reading manuscripts until the film find its way to Swedish cinemas.
This role is a temporary contract from June 2021 until 31st of December 2021.
As our marketing coordinator you will work closely with the Swedish marketing manager, but you will also be responsible for your own projects and film titles. In your day-to-day work you will be involved in many marketing disciplines, such as:
Publicity – manage press materials and press contacts, nominations for press junkets and handle and up-date our press site (Clipsource) including writing copy
Book pre-screenings, test screenings, trips etc for talent in relations to press activities
Coordinate press events and smaller premiere events
Traffic – coordinate all materials needed for launch. Order posters, trailers, TV-spots etc in various systems and up-load material on our press site
Promotions and partnerships – coordinate agreements and activities and order promotion materials
Collaboration - work closely with the production to ensure a successful launch.
Skills and requirements
To be our perfect match, we believe you:
Have a higher education (university or vocational) within the marketing field or 1-2 years of work experience from a marketing coordinator role. Experience working for a media or advertising agency is a plus.
Are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken. You will mostly produce texts in Swedish, so it is important that you have an interest in writing in Swedish
Have great project managing and coordinating skills.
Are used to working with many stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Like films and regularly go to the cinema
As a person, you are a self-starter and take ownership of your tasks – from start to the finish line. You take pride in delivering correctly and on time. You have the ability to manage your time and prioritize to make the most value for each individual film title. You are very structured; self-going and have an analytical mind. You are a true film fantast but can distinguish your own personal taste from what works commercially. You are creative and find new ways to establish successful commercial partnerships.
