The Strategy team is looking for a driven intern to support in setting and executing on Northvolt's strategic roadmap for the next years.

In this role, you are going to drive a clearly defined project, working with various teams across the organization, analysing complex data to ultimately create a strategic recommendation that will affect Northvolt's future success story. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the strategy team's additional work streams in line with your interests and the needs of the team. We are looking for someone who can effectively interact with a range of internal and external stakeholders, always thinks one or two steps ahead, and can turn a vision into action points to ensure Northvolt's future competitiveness. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in project management, a systematic approach to problem-solving, the ability to work efficiently to meet demanding deadlines, and a passion for Northvolt's mission of producing the world's greenest battery.

We believe you have an interdisciplinary background, are keenly interested in giga-scale battery manufacturing, electrification, sustainability and energy markets, and that you are a goal-oriented, natural problem-solver who is eager to learn new things.

Skills & Requirements


  • Currently completing a Master's degree in engineering, business management or a related field
  • Previous project management knowledge and experience
  • Experience in consulting or manufacturing, automotive or energy industries will be an advantage

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent English written and verbal skills, additional European languages are a plus
  • Quick learner and capable of independently driving tasks from beginning to end
  • Curious and capable of working in fast-paced environment with a proactive attitude
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of the composition and drivers of the battery, energy and electric vehicle industries

About the company

Northvolt makes green batteries for a blue planet. Affordable cells and high-quality battery systems. All manufactured with a record-low carbon footprint. Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely.
