To further improve our quality organization, we are hiring a driven Cluster Quality Manager

This is what you will do

As a Cluster Quality Manager you lead and ensure delivered food safety and quality of the BENEFRITES Cluster is in accordance with the Unibake global strategy, legislation, standards and processes. You will also be a member of the cluster operations management team. You’ll take the lead in implementing and translating the Global Quality standards to local and cluster level and translate the Cluster business strategy within the quality related strategy. You also will work on continuous improvement projects. You’ll be working closely together with the Global Quality Team and be an advocate of quality best practices within Lantmännen Unibake.

Primary areas of responsibility:

  • Plan, manage and execute on quality and food safety assurance processes and activities to ensure robust quality performance compliant with national and international standards, legislation (food safety, labeling, etc.) and customer requirements
  • Create and implement standards and legislation into quality systems; ensure an understanding throughout the cluster and act upon deviations appropriately
  • Drive and promote quality improvements within cluster/country in order to continuously improve performance and customer satisfaction
  • Act as the Quality Business Partner and you are responsible for the implementation of local quality strategy, creating and updating the Master data and related focus areas
  • Develop and implement local quality and food safety policies within framework of cluster targets and in line with Unibake food safety and quality directives and Lantmännen overall policies
  • Ensure set up and maintaining of procedures for controls and documentation
  • Monitor performance (quality, food safety) by gathering and analyzing relevant data and reports to management team
  • Lead, guide and direct a high performing quality team and evaluate the work of direct reports
  • Build competencies within the quality team in a way that equips them with the right behavior and competences needed
  • Train, coach and apply Systematic Problem Solving methods to improve processes and eliminate root causes
  • Plan, execute and follow up on internal/external quality and food safety audits
  • Measure performance and secure audit of existing and potential suppliers according to Unibake standards
  • Secure that raw and packaging materials and externally traded goods are reviewed and approved to fulfil Unibake quality and food safety requirements
  • Define and execute medium and long terms action plans in order to increase customer satisfaction while improving business growth and efficiency
  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization (e.g. Finance, Production, Innovation team, Sales, etc. )

Skills & Requirements

Your profile

  • In addition to a Master’s degree (or equivalent through experience in food or food safety, food technician or equal role), you demonstrate a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance including development and management of quality concepts, structures and systems
  • You have solid experience in a FMCG and/or regulated process industry preferable with multiple production sites
  • You have experience of formal or informal leadership and you are familiar with change management
  • Fluent in English in combination with a proficient knowledge of Dutch and French. Knowledge of any additional language is an additional asset
  • You have knowledge and experience with problem solving tools
  • You have a proven record of continuous improvement projects
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft office
  • GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) certifications (HACCP, Diploma in Food Hygiene, etc.)
