In the role as Engineer/Data Scientist you are at the forefront of eCommerce with responsibility developing our foundation for Analytics and Business Automation. You are a key player to to ensure that Pierce as a company are managing and interpreting data and leveraging it as a business asset.
In addition you can be involved in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems to support all business functions.
Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed
Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
You will be working closely with representatives from all functions to ensure that the full power of data and analytics will be harnessed and activated beyond the Business Insights team. By developing capabilities to predict and automate decisions to be a best-in-class eCommerce company you will support business functions both to drive revenues as well as make the business more effective/efficient.
We have a state of the art technical solution in place based on Snowflake, Fivetran and Microsoft PowerBI which was recently implemented to form the foundation for the Analytics capabilities in the company.
To be successful in the role we believe that you are commercially driven, possesses a strong drive for change and are an excellent collaborator/communicator with an idea of what Business Intelligence and Analytics can do in eCommerce.
Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
