In the role as Head of Analytics & Business Insights you are at the forefront of eCommerce with responsibility for leading, developing and deploying the Business Intelligence strategy across Pierce.

At the core of your role, you ensure that Pierce as a company is managing and interpreting our data and leveraging it as a business asset. In doing so you are continuously building and securing the Business Intelligence and Analytics capability in terms of organisation and processes, added-value analysis, systems, and underlying data sources.

By developing capabilities to predict and automate decisions you help Pierce to be a best-in-class eCommerce company by supporting business functions both to drive revenues as well as make the business more effective/efficient. You will be working closely with representatives from all functions to ensure that the full power of data and analytics will be harnessed and activated beyond the Business Insights team.

In your day-to-day job you are also responsible for:

  • Leading the Business Intelligence Steering Committee
  • Drive business prioritization for development of BI Capabilities across Pierce
  • Driving business analysis & reporting across Pierce (Non-financial)
  • Supporting the Sales & Marketing and Category & Sourcing teams with development of Consumer insights (Surveys, Focus groups), Customer Segmentation, Competitor analysis, Market trend insights

You are the leader of the Business Insights direct team (2-4 People) and the BI “Virtual Team” (with additional 2-3 people from the IT function).

We have a state-of-the-art technical solution in place based on Snowflake, Fivetran and Microsoft PowerBI which was recently implemented to form the foundation for the Analytics capabilities in the company.

To be successful in the role we believe that you are commercially driven, possesses a strong drive for change and are an excellent collaborator with a clear vision for what Business Intelligence and Analytics can do in eCommerce.

Skills & Requirements

Job Requirements & Desired Experience and Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Data/Analytics or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in English with any of Swedish or Spanish or Polish as a plus
  • 5+ years of experience with driving Business Insights development and Analytics across companies
  • 5+ Years of Medium sized team management experience
  • 2-3 Years of Project Management
  • Experience from Online Sales/eCommerce

2018Pierce announced the acquisition of MotoBuykers, a Spanish e-commerce motorcycle player, to strengthen its footprint in southern Europe.

2019Pierce opened up for sales outside Europe on our global sites 24mx.com and xlmoto.com
