Scandic’s marketing organization entails a central team on the group level and local marketing teams within five countries responsible for marketing, CRM and loyalty.

As part of the commercial team at Scandic Group, you will work closely together with e-commerce & customer digital development, distribution, revenue, and communications to bolster the Scandic brand awareness and maximize customer lifetime value. With a multifaceted marketing approach, the aim is to inspire and retain existing customers while expanding on a new customer base by creating an innovative digital marketing ecosystem.

The Head of Marketing is a pivotal part of a thriving, inspiring and fun leadership culture. You will be leading the marketing team with a strong, value-based approach, focusing on collaboration to drive, motivate and instill an agile and innovative data-driven way of working. A key priority is to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships among country marketing teams and secure cooperation with other group functions.


  • Set overall strategy and vision for Scandic marketing, loyalty, and CRM, aiming to drive demand and revenue growth across geographies.
  • Own and develop 360 marketing & Brand communication across all markets & channels, the Scandic Friends loyalty program, relationships with current and new partners, hereby optimizing guest lifetime value.
  • Drive, motivate and inspire the Group Marketing team and instill agile and data-driven way-of-working.
  • Cultivate relationships to country marketing teams as well as to other Group functions.
  • Together with country marketing managers, develop an overall Scandic marketing plan and follow up in regular business reviews.
  • Own budget for Group marketing and oversee the execution of Scandic-wide 360 marketing initiatives to increase topline and build brand strength and loyalty.
  • Together with the teams, optimize marketing spend across channels.
  • Set overarching strategy for media & agency negotiations and support countries with frame agreements and buying.

Who are you?

A multifaceted marketer with strong marketing strategy and execution skills, both off- and online; a wizard at creating a vibrant team spirit with a well-developed toolbox in omnichannel marketing. You’re a strong leader that can ensure that vision and strategy are aligned across all channels to provide a unified growth strategy. You are, or believe you can be, an energetic culture builder. The Scandic values resonate with you, and you intuitively understand that collaboration is a critical priority in building the new optimized organization. Experience working across multiple geographies in the Nordics is a great asset too!


  • 10-15 years of experience in 360-degree marketing, including budget ownership and prioritization
  • Ability and proven track record of cross-country collaboration
  • Experience in driving and evolving brand communication and concept
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to align the organization around common goals
  • Experienced in digital and data-driven marketing
  • Strategic mindset with a long-term perspective
  • University degree from technical or business or personal characteristics meriting.
  • Experience of agile ways of working
  • Strong negotiating skills
